The Occupational Health and Safety Committee has the same structure as the CNAMTS Council, which means with parity of representation. It obeys to the same way of functioning. It has the abilitiies of the CNAMTS Council as far as industrial accidents and occupational diseases are concerned.
In this context, it is in charge of the financial balance of the occupational health and safety branch, fixing tariffs, compensation and prevention of occupational accidents and illnesses.
It determines the guidelines of the COG branch and approves the budgets of the French National Fund for the prevention of occupation illnesses and accidents (Fonds national de prévention des accidents du travail et des maladies professionnelles / FNPATMP).
