The 1996's orders instituted a Monitoring Council within the CNAMTS to monitor the Management objectives conventions (conventions d'objectifs et de gestion / COG ).
It has 34 members.
Its president submits an opinion to Parliament, to the CNAMTS' Council and Managing Director.

The Monitoring Council watches over the right application of the Management Objectives Conventions defined by the State and CNAMTS.
